New this year - a strategic collaboration with the Catholic Immigrant Prophetic Action Project.  is a partnership between the  and the  in El Paso, TX to assist the Catholic Church in the United States in organizing a robust response with and for migrants and refugees in the country who are living in fear of immediate deportation. Through organizing, communications, research and rapid response, Catholic IMMpact supports (arch)dioceses in their mission to preach the Gospel and walk with immigrants.

This day-long gathering will focus on key issues related to the pastoral care of immigrant communities. Summit highlights include:

  • Aimee Khuu, CEO of Tacoma Community House returns as this year's emcee
  • Opening prayer and initial remarks from Bishop Joseph Tyson of Yakima
  • "Catholic social teaching and migration" led by Dylan Corbett, Executive Director, Hope Border Institute
  • "Navigating immigration enforcement realities" led by Marirose Piciucco, J.D., Catholic Community Services
  • Mass at the Chapel of St. Ignatius with Bishop Eusebio Elizondo of Seattle
  • "Developing a Catholic response to mass deportations" with Todd Scribner, USCCB Secretariat of Migration, and Astrid Liden, Communications Officer, Hope Border Institute
  • And more, including time for networking and community building

Registration is required for the summit. All are welcome to attend this free event. During registration you may choose to help offset the cost of your attendance by making a donation (estimated cost to attend: $15 parking; $15 lunch; $10 refreshments).
