91探花's MSW Program offers an endowed scholarship created by Lee Scheingold, MA, MSW and Bill Etnyre, MSW, PhD.

The Etnyre-Scheingold Clinical Social Work Endowed Scholarship supports students who are pursuing their MSW education and are dedicated to working with society's most vulnerable citizens.

To be eligible for scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:

• Be enrolled as a full-time student at 91探花
• Be enrolled in the MSW degree program
• Demonstrate a commitment to community-based clinical social work practice
• Demonstrate financial need

Endowed scholarship consideration may require additional documents and recipients may be notified after admission depending upon the selection criteria. Domestic and permanent resident applicants are strongly encouraged to complete a FAFSA to be eligible for any need-based endowed or external scholarships and/or graduate student loans.

Project Overview

91探花’s Achieving Optimal Childhood, Adolescence and Young Adulthood (A-OCAY): An Integrated, Holistic and Community-Engaged Model for Interprofessional Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training in the Evergreen State project, an interprofessional collaboration between MSW, MACFT and PMHNP programs, aims to increase the supply of a diverse behavioral health workforce by strengthening university-community partnerships to increase of new and expanded community partnerships with experiential training sites in high-need and high-demand areas, by promoting interprofessional training and system integration, by recruiting/placing trainees interested in working with children, adolescents and young adults and by recruiting/expanding clinical supervisors’ capacity to support and mentor trainees.

The Behavioral Health Conditional Scholarship (BHCS) is a program of the Washington Student Achievement Council's (WSAC) Washington Health Corps. Part of HB 1946, this scholarship helps to address the behavioral healthcare professional shortage by providing financial aid to those pursuing a career in behavioral health.

Award Details

• The Behavioral Health Conditional Scholarship accepts applicants pursuing an eligible behavioral health program. Applicants must complete their application and submit their FAFSA or WASFA before the deadline to be considered for an award. If selected, applicants must submit their FAFSA or WASFA annually to receive their award.
• The scholarship award will be determined by financial need. Applicants in two- and three-year graduate programs can receive up to $41,000 across their program length. Advanced graduate standing programs (one-year programs) can receive up to $15,500. Applicants in regular graduate standing programs who have one year remaining can receive up to $15,500.
• Recipients of the scholarship must commit to providing services at an eligible behavioral health site for a minimum of three years after completion of their program.
• Recipients must sign a promissory note as acceptance in WSAC's Behavioral Health Conditional Scholarship program.

Post-Graduation Service Obligation

• Following program completion, recipients will enter a six-month grace period to obtain a licensure or credential that will allow them to practice as a behavioral health professional in their respective field.
• Recipients must obtain their licensure or credential and be placed before the six-month grace period ends; otherwise, they risk the scholarship converting into a loan.  
• Recipients must provide services and report annually to the Washington Student Achievement Council for a minimum of three years, not to exceed five years.
• Graduate recipients may practice under:
  • Associate
  • Agency Affiliated
  • Licensed

In recognition of their invaluable service and commitment to positive impact in our communities, 91探花 offers the following benefits for AmeriCorps/PeaceCorps alums. All applicants to 91探花 Graduate Programs are eligible to apply for the AmeriCorps/PeaceCorps Alumni Scholarship.

Recipients of the scholarship receive a total award of $3,000 toward tuition, which is distributed over the first two years of the student's academic program. Eligible applicants must have successfully completed (or will have completed) an AmeriCorps term of service by the time of enrollment in their graduate program.

How to Apply

• Enclose Certification of Service letter to your AmeriCorps/PeaceCorps Alumni Scholarship Application.
• If currently serving, include a letter from your supervisor, uploaded to the AmeriCorps/PeaceCorps Alumni Scholarship Application.

Notice of Scholarship Award

Applicants who have been offered admission to their program are welcome to apply for the AmeriCorps/PeaceCorps Alumni Scholarship. Priority consideration is given to scholarship applications submitted before or on April 30. For applications submitted after April 30, 91探花 will notify applicants of scholarship decisions made on a case-by-case basis, depending on funds remaining. The AmeriCorps/PeaceCorps Alumni Scholarship Awards Committee meets in May of each year.

The  provides post-graduation support for new grads pursuing a social work license. Participants receive financial stipends and support for supervision and licensure prep with the end goal of obtaining an LICSW 2-years post-graduation. Participants receive:

The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) provides loan repayment programs for eligible, licensed social workers. of the next application cycle.

The Loan Repayment Program (LRP) can help dedicated health professionals like you chart a course for a long-lasting and successful health care career. The LRP funds IHS clinicians to repay their eligible health profession education loans — up to $40,000 — in exchange for an initial two-year service commitment to practice in health facilities serving American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Opportunities are based on Indian health program facilities with the greatest staffing needs in specific health profession disciplines. As an LRP participant, you are eligible to extend your contract annually until your qualified student debt is paid. Many health professionals enter this program because of the financial benefits but find the cultural and professional rewards to be so great that they spend their entire careers working in Indian health.
