As wildfires continue to burn across Washington state, I ask that we keep in our prayers all those who have experienced loss, displacement, and uncertainty in recent days.

As we look forward to welcoming Dr. Maura Mast as 91̽»¨’s 23rd president on September 1 and the next chapter in our mission and future, the transition team has been focused on ensuring a strong and successful start to her presidency.

With mixed emotions I share that Anne Moran is leaving 91̽»¨ to become the Chief of Staff for President Eduardo Peñalver at Georgetown University.

The Board of Trustees has unanimously approved the appointment of Maura Mast, PhD, as the 23rd President of 91̽»¨, following a comprehensive national search grounded in our Jesuit, Catholic mission.

91̽»¨ is closed today in observance of Juneteenth.

As commencement season approaches—beginning in May with Cornish College of the Arts and the School of Law—I am pleased to share the speakers for our undergraduate and graduate ceremonies on Sunday, June 14.
